Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib) is an infection that can cause severe invasive bacteria, particularly affecting young children. Meningitis can cause fever, headache, neck stiffness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, photophobia, and mental symptoms like dizziness and lethargy. Besides, it is possible to cause pneumonia, sepsis, otitis media, acute epiglottitis, and even death. Epiglottitis may occur in patients with fever, sore throat, drooling, swallowing pain, refusing to swallow, and even breathing difficulties and other symptoms.
