“2025 / 2026 Influenza Vaccination Subsidy Scheme”
(Tentatively to be launched from late September to early October 2025)

Eligible subsidised persons include:

• Elderly aged 65 years or above
• Adults aged 50 to 64 years
• Children aged 6 months to under 18 years, or full-time students of Hong Kong primary or secondary schools
• Pregnant women
• Persons with intellectual disability
• Recipients of Disability Allowance, and recipients of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) with standard rates coded as “100% disabled” or “requiring constant attendance”

⚠️ Administration Fee: For successful orders, cancellations or refund requests will incur an administration fee of HK$150 per dose. ⚠️

Remarks:

1. Vaccination should be deferred if the person is suffering from acute illness or fever.
2. Individuals with mild egg allergy may receive inactivated influenza vaccines (IIV) in primary care settings (e.g. health centres or clinics). Those with a history of severe allergic reactions to egg protein should be vaccinated under supervision of healthcare professionals in medical facilities equipped to recognise and manage severe allergic reactions. Although vaccines contain residual ovalbumin, the content is extremely low due to purification during manufacture, and most people with egg allergy can be safely vaccinated.
3. Adults with a history of severe egg allergy may consider receiving recombinant influenza vaccine.
4. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), inactivated influenza vaccines (IIV) are safe at any stage of pregnancy. There is no evidence of adverse effects on the foetus even if given in early pregnancy. Pregnant women should only receive IIV and not live attenuated influenza vaccines (LAIV), as LAIV contains live attenuated viruses.
5. At Kinetics, seasonal influenza vaccination will only be provided to pregnant women at or beyond 12 weeks of gestation. Only inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV) will be administered. Vaccination must be given at the medical examination centre; outreach service is not available.
6. COVID-19 vaccine and seasonal influenza vaccine may be administered on the same day during the same clinic visit.

* Vaccination must be assessed by medical staff before administration. If assessed as not suitable for vaccination, a consultation fee of HK$50 will be deducted and the balance refunded.
