Drivers of commercial vehicles drive for long hours on road, which lead to reversal of daily routine. Coupled with irregular diet, they are prone to urban common diseases, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, mental illness, diabetes, etc. For serious cases, it will even affect the ability to drive, increasing the risk of traffic accidents. The employers should provide pre-employment health check for newly employed drivers before work. If d the driver at work is in discomfort or abnormal mental condition, the employer should suspend the driver's work and ask him/her to see a doctor or for medical examination. Require drivers to undergo regular health checks, in response to individual circumstances, such as age, medical history, risk factors, individual lifestyle, family history, etc., and they should take health check and receive consultation by a doctor or health care provider.

The number of traffic accidents due to drug driving is increasing, so employers should conduct regular drug evaluation for drivers in response to demand in order to reduce the risk of traffic accident.
